Rules and Regulations


All show cars must be registered with Charleston Boulevard Rod Run & Doo Wop (CBRR&DW) and provide valid car registration and insurance in order to participate in the event.

One window sticker per registered vehicle will be issued for admission onto the Boulevard. The issued sticker MUST be affixed to the windshield and cannot be transferred to other vehicles. Vehicles without a valid sticker are subject to towing.

No parking of car show vehicles on Kanawha Boulevard before the gates open at 6am Thursday morning.

Car show vehicles will enter and be parked in the order they have lined up outside the entrance gate. Once on the Boulevard, please park where directed by the CBRR&DW Parking Crew.

No reserving parking spots or entry from side streets other than the main entry gate.

Absolutely no burnouts, displays of speed or power are allowed on the Boulevard or Show area. Violators will be asked to leave immediately.

No alcoholic beverages or vulgar behavior is allowed. CBRR&DW is proud to be a family event!

No golf carts, bicycles, scooters, four wheeler, skateboards or roller blades are allowed on the Boulevard.

Only single occupant handicap conveyances are allowed on the Boulevard. Must display official handicapped sticker and tag. Sticker and tag can be picked up at the registration tent free of charge once you register your scooter.

No Pets of any kind are allowed on the Boulevard, events, or show areas. Assistance animals and Service animals are allowed.

No motorcycles, farm tractors, Semi/tractor trailers, four wheelers/side by sides, or lawn mowers are allowed in the show.

No firearms allowed on the premises.

No tampering with any property of the Charleston Boulevard Rod Run & Doo Wop (CBRR&DW).

Twenty-four hour security will be provided on the Boulevard throughout the event.



Pursuant to City Code § 102-18

The following items are prohibited in the Event Area:

a. Glass bottles;
b. Skateboards, roller skates, roller blades:
c. Bicycles or other self-propelled wheeled vehicles, other than wheelchairs;
d. Dangerous or deadly weapons (guns, knives, clubs, etc.);
e. Alcoholic beverages;
f. Items for sale, such as food, toys, clothing, etc., other than items sold by vendors authorized by the Rod Run and Doo Wop (CBRR&DW).

Chairs shall be permitted in the Event Area, except as follows: Portable lawn or folding chairs shall be permitted and may be erected and used in the Event Area except as provided in subsection (a) above, so long as they do not block or significantly impede pedestrian traffic aisles or lanes, or emergency response lanes, or access to vendors.

"Easy Up" type tents or canopies are permitted only if they are secured by earth anchors or appropriate weights. These are subject to inspection by a show official to ensure compliance.

Any person who knowingly fails to comply with the prohibitions imposed pursuant to this Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense. Any person in possession of an item prohibited at an Outdoor Event may be ejected from the Outdoor Event and prohibited items may be subject to forfeiture.

Vehicle entry to the Event Area

Unregistered vehicles are not permitted in the event area. Unregistered vehicles found in the event area may be towed from the area at the owners' expense. The towing vendor will be determined by the rotating list maintained by the Metro 911 Center.

Parking Restrictions

Registered vehicles are to park in areas and in a manor designated by the event committee.

Exceptions to Prohibitions

These Prohibitions shall not apply to authorized vendors, performers, or event staff or service workers in the performance of official duties.

These Prohibitions shall not apply to items required to assist a person with a medically diagnosed condition or disability.
